Elderly Woman Arrested for DUI After Crash

YARDLEY, PA – On Monday, at 07:17 AM, YBPD officers responded to a collision on 44 South Main St. involving a vehicle and a pole.

A 74-year-old woman from Lower Makefield, PA, was apprehended on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Preliminary investigation indicated the driver was likely under the influence, leading to her arrest.

The driver declined chemical testing. After processing, she was released and charged with careless driving and DUI.

Her refusal for testing is referred to the PA Department of Transportation, and her vehicle was impounded. The case is pending court.

The driver’s name was not released by police.
