Elderly Woman Carjacked and Beaten in New York City

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for public assistance in identifying an individual associated with a robbery and assault case.

On Monday, at approximately 1:10 pm, an incident involving a 60-year-old female victim took place on Steenwick Avenue.

According to reports, the unknown individual approached the woman, who was seated in her vehicle. He forcibly opened the door, dragged the woman out, and proceeded to kick and punch her. The suspect then entered the vehicle and drove away from the scene.

The woman was taken to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition. The vehicle, a black 2015 Toyota Rav4 SUV with New York registration 552279, is still missing.
