Elderly Woman Killed in Fatal Crash in North Versailles

NORTH VERSAILLES, PA – A tragic collision in North Versailles prompted a response from the Allegheny County Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit and Homicide Detectives on Sunday. At approximately 6:13 PM, emergency services were alerted to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Crooked Run Road and 5th Avenue.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered that a Nissan Versa, driven by a 66-year-old woman, had been struck by a Pontiac Grand Am, operated by a 20-year-old man. The elderly victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The young driver of the Pontiac was also taken to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision has been initiated by detectives.
