Elderly Woman Robbed, Threatened During Edgewater Home Invasion

EDGEWATER, MD – An elderly woman was the target of a home invasion on Saturday.

Southern District detectives report that at approximately 3:45 a.m., a male suspect forced entry into a home in the 100 block of Oakwood Road as the 64-year-old victim answered a knock at her door.

The intruder threatened the victim, demanding money and valuables, and fled on foot with the victim’s purse.

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 5’10” with a medium build, wearing dark clothing.

The victim did not sustain injuries. Southern District detectives are investigating and encourage anyone with information to contact 410-222-1960 or the Anne Arundel County Police tip line at 410-222-4700 for anonymous tips.
