Elkton Man Charged for Slashing Tire of Newark Parking Enforcement Vehicle

NEWARK, DE – On February 27, 2024, at approximately 7:47 p.m., a City of Newark parking enforcement vehicle parked in the unit block of East Main Street had its tire intentionally punctured by an individual walking on the sidewalk.

Through surveillance video and investigative methods, the suspect was identified as Zachery Burrows, 33, of Elkton, MD.

On March 15, 2024, Burrows surrendered to Newark Police and was charged with one count of criminal mischief. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance, with a court appearance scheduled for a later date.
