Emergency Railroad Crossing Repairs to Close S. Barber Ave in Woodbury

WOODBURY, NJ – The Woodbury City Police Department has issued a traffic alert concerning emergency repairs on the railroad crossing located at the intersection of S. Barber Ave and Railroad Ave. Conrail, the agency responsible for the maintenance and operation of the railroad, will commence the repair work on Tuesday, April 9th at 7:00 AM, with an anticipated completion by Friday, April 12th at 5:00 PM.

During the repair period, S. Barber Ave will be closed to all vehicle traffic between Railroad Ave and S. Evergreen Ave. The closure is necessary to facilitate the safe and efficient completion of the repair project.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the detour signs that will be placed around the affected area. The Woodbury City Police Department has provided a map detailing the detour routes to assist drivers in navigating around the closure.

The department thanks the community for their patience and cooperation during this essential infrastructure repair project and encourages drivers to allow for extra travel time or to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
