Emergency Repairs Disrupt MTA Service Near Camden Yards

Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Police Department has announced that the Maryland Transit Administration iscurrently undertaking emergency repairs on the light rail track at the Howard and Lombard Streets intersection. Due to these repairs, light rail service between Camden Yards and North Avenue has been temporarily suspended.

The suspension comes as the MTA, in collaboration with the Baltimore City Department of Transportation, investigates the cause of the track break. To mitigate the impact on commuters and ensure continuity of travel, a shuttle bus service has been implemented to transport riders between the affected stops during the suspension period.

The Baltimore Police Department and the MTA appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as they work to swiftly address the issue and restore full service to the light rail system.
