NEW YORK, NY – A sports shop employee in the Bronx was stabbed after confronting two shoplifters on Wednesday.
The two suspects entered Franks Sports Shops on Tremont Avenue and removed a $25 Carhartt balaclava.
As they attempted to leave the store, two employees chased them down and tried to retrieve the stolen garment. One of the suspects pulled a knife and stabbed the 37-year-old male employee in the abdomen.
The suspects fled the area on foot.
