Evesham Township Police Department Launches “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – In an effort to reduce impaired driving incidents, the Evesham Township Police Department announced the commencement of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

Starting from December 1st and continuing until January 1st, the campaign involves local and state law enforcement officers conducting roving patrols specifically targeting drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The campaign is part of a national initiative aimed at increasing public awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.

The initiative is supported by various educational activities including advertisements and public messaging. Additionally, the Division of Highway Traffic Safety is providing grants to local police departments to support this four-week initiative.

The Evesham Township Police Department also shared safety advice for the public, emphasizing the importance of designating a sober driver, using public transportation, ride-sharing services, or staying overnight at the location of festivities.
