Evesham Township Police Promote “Safe Transaction Zone” for Online Purchases

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Evesham Township Police Department (ETPD) is actively promoting the use of its “Safe Transaction Zone” to safeguard residents engaging in online purchases. Introduced in April 2015, this initiative aims to mitigate risks associated with online transactions as robberies, thefts, and scams become increasingly common.

The designated zone is located in the lobby of the Evesham Police Department at 984 Tuckerton Road. The area, including adjacent parking lots, is well-lit and monitored by advanced surveillance systems to ensure safety. However, police employees will not participate in transactions or offer legal advice.

The facility does not permit transactions involving weapons, drugs, or drug paraphernalia. It operates 24/7, with the Police Records Office open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Residents conducting transactions during office hours should inform the front desk, especially for larger transactions that might also use the video-surveilled parking lots.
