UNION COUNTY, NJ – Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel announced the arrest of a Fair Lawn man in connection with the sexual assault of a minor.
Shalom “Sal” Yehudiel, 40, faces charges of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The victim was between 14 and 15 years old during the time of the assaults, which occurred between November 2016 and April 2017.
The case was transferred to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office due to a conflict of interest. Y
ehudiel was arrested in New York on Tuesday, and is currently awaiting extradition. The investigation is ongoing, and individuals with further information about Yehudiel are asked to contact Union County Special Victims Unit Detective Jessica Tattoli at (908) 965-3885.
