WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man was beaten to death just after midnight on Friday in Northeast, D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating this incident.
Just before midnight, police were dispatched to investigate a report of an unconscious person at the 3500 block of Hayes Street. An adult male with injuries consistent with blunt force trauma was discovered upon arrival. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite all attempts.
47-year-old Marcus Carey of D.C. was identified as the victim.
