Fatal Collision in Manalapan Under Investigation

FREEHOLD, NJ — A fatal crash in Manalapan that occurred early Thursday morning is currently under investigation, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.

Police were called to the scene on Route 9 and Ryan Road around 4:30 a.m., where they discovered a collision involving a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2017 Nissan Sentra. The Nissan’s driver, an adult female, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The male driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries but remained at the scene.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, together with the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team and Manalapan Police, are conducting a thorough investigation. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information related to the crash and have provided contact details for Detective Brian Boryszewski and Patrolman Michael DeCristofaro for tips.
