Fatal Crash Reported Overnight in Howell

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Route 9, near the border between Freehold and Howell was closed at around midnight on Wednesday for a fatal crash.

“Route 9 in Freehold Township is closed due to a fatal crash. Please use alternate routes of travel. No further information is available at this time,” police said.

The road was shut down between Adelphia Road and Schank Road. Police did not release any further information at the time this report was published.
