CAMP SPRINGS, MD – A fire erupted in a second-floor unit of the Days Inn by Wyndham Camp Springs/Andrews located at 5151 Allentown Road on the morning of March 11, around 7:40 a.m. Firefighting crews, upon extinguishing the flames, discovered one individual deceased inside the unit.
No other injuries have been reported in connection with the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by authorities. Further details regarding the identity of the victim or the extent of the damage to the property have not been released.
Police are investigating the matter.
