Fatal Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation in Middle Township

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, NJ – A 24-year-old male from North Cape May was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle accident on Saturday.

The accident occurred around 1:56 am at the intersection of Route 9 and Church Street in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township.

The motorcycle, which also carried a 23-year-old female passenger from North Cape May, collided with a sport utility vehicle.

The female was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for her injuries. Occupants of the sport utility vehicle were unharmed.

Investigations are underway, led by the Middle Township Fatal Crash Team, Major Crimes Unit, and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
