Fatal Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation in Northeast D.C.

Washington, D.C. – A tragic motorcycle crash has claimed the life of a Maryland man in Northeast Washington. On Thursday, June 27, at 9:41 a.m., Marvin Anthony Williams, aged 33 from Fairmount Heights, was operating a Honda motorcycle traveling northwest on the 500 block of Eastern Avenue when the accident occurred.

Williams attempted to overtake a Honda Civic from the right, struck the vehicle’s side mirror, and subsequently lost control of his motorcycle. The loss of control led to his ejection from the bike, colliding with a parked car. Despite life-saving efforts at a local hospital, Williams was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Civic remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the MPD’s ongoing investigation.
