WASHINGTON, DC — A fatal shooting inside a restaurant on U Street in Northwest Washington is currently under investigation by the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Homicide Branch. The incident took place early Saturday morning.
At approximately 1:12 AM on Saturday, officers patrolling the 1300 block of U Street heard gunshots and responded to the scene at a local restaurant.
They discovered 43-year-old Kenneth Goins from Salisbury, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Goins was pronounced dead at the scene.
