Fatal Shooting in Camp Springs Under Investigation

CAMP SPRINGS, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Anthony Day Roberts and injuring another adult male. The incident took place in the 6300 block of Auth Road around 9:40 pm.

Roberts, a Camp Springs resident, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, whose injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, was transported to the hospital.

Authorities are actively seeking motives and suspects. The police department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Homicide Unit directly.
