Fatal Shooting in Southeast Columbus Claims Life of a 63-Year-Old Woman

COLUMBUS, OH — Marvita McCaskill, 63, was fatally shot in southeast Columbus on Thursday night.

Columbus Division of Police responded to a shots fired report at around 8:49 p.m. on Berkeley Road in the Driving Park neighborhood.

McCaskill was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:08 p.m.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently unclear.

The Columbus Division of Police is actively investigating the case and asks for public assistance with any relevant information.
