Fatal Shooting in the Bronx Leaves One Man Dead

BRONX, NY — A tragic shooting occurred on Saturday, March 16, 2024, leaving a 47-year-old man dead in the Fordham Heights neighborhood. The New York City Police Department responded to 911 calls reporting a shooting in front of 2311 Morris Avenue, within the 46th Precinct, around 9:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officials found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency Medical Services quickly transported the man to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the NYPD’s investigation is actively ongoing. The identity of the deceased has not been released, as officials are in the process of notifying his family.
