Fatal Shooting in the Bronx Under Investigation

BRONX, NY — A tragic shooting occurred early Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man in the Bronx. Police responded to a 911 call at around 2:53 AM, reporting a person shot at the intersection of East 176 Street and Mohegan Avenue, within the 48th Precinct.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Idriss Cherifelfarissy, a resident of 852 East 176 Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called to the scene and pronounced Mr. Cherifelfarissy deceased.

As of now, there have been no arrests, and the NYPD is continuing its investigation into this incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
