Fatal shooting investigation underway in Largo

LARGO, MD — Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in Largo. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Craig Rogers II of Bowie. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On Friday at approximately 1:10 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Largo Center Drive for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located Rogers in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.
