PITTSBURGH, PA – Dashawn Rankin, 32, was shot and killed while riding his bike near the intersection of Federal Street and W. North Avenue around 7 a.m. on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Police reports. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Rankin had a brief verbal exchange with a man on foot moments before he was shot. The Pittsburgh Police’s Violent Crime Unit is investigating the incident.
