Fatal Stabbing at Plainfield Train Station Under Investigation

UNION COUNTY, NJ – On Thursday, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, New Jersey Transit Police, and Plainfield Police Department responded to a stabbing incident at the Plainfield Train Station on 4th Street. The victim, identified as Juquin Smith, 45, was found with stab wounds at approximately 2:00 PM.

Smith was immediately transported to a nearby hospital but was subsequently pronounced dead. The Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force is currently investigating the incident. Any individuals with relevant information are asked to contact the Union County Prosecutor’s Office.
