Fatal Stabbing in Bronx Under Investigation

BRONX, NY—A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon when a 29-year-old male was fatally stabbed in front of 1809 Phelan Place. Responding to a 911 call at approximately 4:28 PM, police officers found Ronald Gomez-Mesa with a stab wound to his chest at the scene within the 46th Precinct. Emergency Medical Services rushed him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Currently, no arrests have been made, and the NYPD continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. Gomez-Mesa, a resident of 20 Richman Plaza, is remembered by the community as the investigation seeks to uncover details leading to the resolution of this case.
