Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash in Albemarle County Under Investigation

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA—A serious three-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday evening at the intersection of Rio Road East and Hillsdale Drive, leading to the death of one individual. The Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to the scene at approximately 6:22 PM.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. The Albemarle County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine its cause.
