Fatal Traffic Collision in Seat Pleasant Under Investigation

SEAT PLEASANT, MD – A fatal collision involving two vehicles is currently under investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit. The accident occurred on Saturday evening in the town of Seat Pleasant.

On June 1, at around 10:45 PM, police officers were called to the scene at the intersection of Central Avenue and Pepper Mill Drive. Ashley Turner, 35, from Bladensburg, was one of the passengers involved. She was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries several hours later. The injuries sustained by the drivers and other passengers involved are reported as non-life-threatening.

The collision took place in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue, and authorities are still investigating the cause. The Prince George’s County Police handle all investigations of fatal crashes in Seat Pleasant.
