ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – On Thursday, at around 8:15 am, units from the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a reported single-vehicle accident.
The incident occurred on the westbound Route 250 Bypass, near the Route 601 exit ramp.
Upon their arrival, the driver was declared dead on the scene.
As of now, the deceased’s identity remains undisclosed, awaiting notification to the family.
The Albemarle County Police Department’s Fatal Crash Reconstruction Team is actively working on the investigation. Details surrounding the cause of the crash are yet to be revealed.
