Accokeek, Md. — Jose Vargas Jimenez of Accokeek won a $50,000 top prize on a $50,000 Cash scratch-off ticket, marking a lucky day for the occasional lottery player.

The Prince George’s County construction worker purchased the winning $20 ticket while at Keller’s Market with his father, a regular Lottery participant. After taking the ticket home and scratching it off, he discovered the life-changing win. “I was very happy. My dad was happy for me too,” he said.

Jose plans to save his winnings, putting the entire prize into a savings account. The lucky ticket is one of 160 top prizes available in the $50,000 Cash game, which still has 70 top prizes remaining as of this announcement.

Keller’s Market, located at 15624 Livingston Road in Accokeek, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The $50,000 Cash game also offers other prizes ranging from $20 to $5,000.
