Female MTA Employee Attacked by Mop-Wielding Suspect

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking information about a recent assault. On Wednesday, December 6, around 12:15 pm, a 37-year-old female MTA employee was assaulted while on the northbound platform “N” line at the Ditmars Boulevard and 31 Street subway station.

An unidentified male threw a mop at the victim, striking her face, before fleeing. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The suspect is described as a male, dark complexion, between 30 to 40 years of age, with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, a multi-colored scarf, and a black hat with a white logo.
