Female Suspect Arrested In Shooting Of Another Woman in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman was shot on Sunday morning in Northeast D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police have made an arrest in the shooting.

Shortly before 8 am, police arrived at the 1400 Block of Downing Street to investigate a shooting report. Police found an adult woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

27-year-old Erin Sheffey of D.C. was arrested and charged with the shooting on Sunday. Police recovered a firearm was recovered. An initial investigation found that this shooting was domestic.
