Few Details Release in Officer Involved Shooting at Huntingdon Motel

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, PA – Pennsylvania State Police, in collaboration with the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office, are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Tuesday.

The incident took place near the Huntingdon Inn Motel on Route 30 and Carpenter Lane in the afternoon.

The scene remains active, but there is no current threat to the community or the public. No officers were injured during the incident.

Witnesses reported an exchange of gunfire during the incident.

The Office of Westmoreland County Coroner Timothy Carson is assisting in the ongoing investigation.

Upon completion of the investigation, Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli will review all evidence to determine if the use of deadly force was justified. The Pennsylvania State Police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
