Fight Between Two Elderly Men Ends with Fatal Stabbing in Midtown

NEW YORK, NY – A stabbing incident in Midtown North Precinct resulted in the death of a 71-year-old man and the arrest of a 78-year-old suspect. Police responded to a 911 call on Tuesday at 475 West 57th Street around 10:50 pm.

Upon arrival, officers found two men injured: one with a stab wound to the back and another with slash wounds to both hands.

The 71-year-old victim was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced dead. The 78-year-old suspect, also injured, was apprehended and taken to the same hospital in stable condition.

The identity of the deceased remains undisclosed, pending family notification. The investigation into the incident continues.
