Fire Contained at Goodwill Store in Egg Harbor Township

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – A structure fire was reported at the Goodwill Store & Donation Center located at 6701 Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township. The incident occurred on Monday, January 15th, around 1:31 PM.

Upon arrival, Egg Harbor Township Police Department officers observed smoke emanating from the building, with employees in the process of evacuating the premises. The Egg Harbor Township Volunteer Fire Department, along with fire companies from Northfield and Pleasantville, responded promptly with multiple fire engines, ladder trucks, and support personnel.

Despite heavy smoke, firefighters successfully contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading to adjacent businesses. The store was closed for the remainder of the day.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Egg Harbor Township Fire Inspection Unit. Further details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
