BEACHWOOD, NJ – A fire at a home on Neptune Avenue in Beachwood caused extensive damage on Wednesday. The fire was reported to 9-1-1 at approximately 2 pm. Arriving units believed they were responding to a shed fire, but it turned out to be a house fire.
Nobody was injured in the blaze that caused serious damage to the house. The Beachwood Fire Department responded to the fire which may have started inside an enclosed porch before spreading to the inside of the home.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control in the small ranch-style home upon their arrival.
