Fire Damages Middle School in Cherry Hill

Cherry Hill, NJ – The Cherry Hill Fire Department responded to a call at Beck Middle School during the overnight hours to investigate a fire alarm.

Upon arriving at the scene, fire unit 1341, discovered a smoke condition within the building, accompanied by a fire in the roof area.

The fire crew managed to extinguish the flames within an hour, and fortunately, there were no reported injuries. The fire was contained to the roof area, minimizing the extent of the damage.

At present, authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and conducting an inspection to ensure the safety and security of the school facility.

The incident is not expected to impact the school opening in September.
