Firearm Found in Passenger’s Bag at Pittsburgh International Airport Leads to Charges

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Police have charged Bryan Force, a 43-year-old man from Indiana, PA, following the discovery of a handgun in his backpack at Pittsburgh International Airport. The incident occurred at the main security checkpoint at 9:30 AM on April 4.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers identified the handgun during routine checks and immediately notified the Allegheny County Police. Upon investigation, it was determined that Force lacked a concealed carry permit, resulting in a misdemeanor charge for carrying a firearm without a license.

The firearm was seized by county police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been informed of the incident.
