Washington, DC – A late-night police pursuit that started in Prince George’s County crossed into Washington, D.C. early Monday and ended with the arrest of five suspects and the recovery of multiple guns.

The incident began around 1:10 a.m. on September 8, when Seat Pleasant police spotted a vehicle near Central Avenue and Addison Road that had been reported carjacked and was wanted in connection with multiple robberies. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, triggering a chase into Northeast Washington.

The pursuit ended near Lane Place and Lee Street NE, where the suspects—one adult and four juveniles—abandoned the car and tried to run. With assistance from the Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C. Federal Task Force, officers apprehended all five.

Each was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Police say additional charges are expected after investigators found multiple firearms at the scene.
