Florida Fugitive Arrested Driving Stolen Car in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MD – On Sunday, August 28, at approximately 9:51 pm, officers from the Cambridge Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Cedar St at Rt 50.

The driver, identified as Dionte Antonio Stanley, a 28-year-old resident of Selbyville, DE, was found to have an active Violation of Probation Warrant from the Florida Department of Corrections.

Stanley was arrested and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing. He was later transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and is being held without bond, pending extradition to Florida.

The original charge against Stanley was Grand Theft Auto in Saint Johns County, Florida, effective October 20, 2021.

The Cambridge Police Department encourages anyone with additional information to come forward.
