Florida Man Charged with Murder in Shooting of Girlfriend

MIRAMAR, FL – Derrick Feliciano Bargman-Williams, 28, faces a murder charge following the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, Jessica Frankel Singleton, 25, in Miramar, Florida. The tragic incident, which took place in front of the couple’s two young children, occurred on Wednesday morning.

Broward County court records confirm Bargman-Williams’ charge. Miramar police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 8:20 a.m., reporting seven gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered Singleton unresponsive beside a car outside her home. She was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

According to the arrest affidavit, Bargman-Williams and Singleton had been involved in an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. The dispute moved outdoors, where Bargman-Williams allegedly shot Singleton in the chest. As she attempted to escape, he reportedly continued shooting her in the torso and back. The couple’s children, aged 4 and 1, witnessed the event, with one child reportedly telling an officer, “Daddy did it to mommy, and mommy is dead.”

Surveillance footage showed Bargman-Williams fleeing the scene, pursued by his son. The police located Bargman-Williams hiding behind bushes a few blocks away, with the alleged murder weapon in his backpack.
