The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at CD Liquors, located at 4945 Marlboro Pike. He selected a $1 Trifecta bet on horses 10, 11, and 12, playing it across 20 races. In a rush to get home, he put the ticket in his pocket and didn’t think about it again until later that night.

Upon discovering it while emptying his pockets, the winner used the Maryland Lottery app to scan the ticket and was stunned to learn he’d won over $30,000.


Retailer earns bonus as player stays quiet
