Former Hotel Senior Analyst Sentenced for Embezzlement Scheme

NEWARK, NJ – Marco Alvarez, a 47-year-old former senior analyst at a nationwide hotel chain, was sentenced on Monday, to 15 months in prison for his role in an embezzlement scheme.

In addition to prison time, Alvarez was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay restitution totaling $317,582.

On April 14, 2022, Alvarez pleaded guilty via videoconference to a single count of wire fraud before U.S. District Judge Esther Salas.
