Fort Lee Man Charged in Hit-and-Run That Left 75-Year-Old Critical

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – Tae Lee, a 70-year-old resident of Fort Lee, has been charged by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Moonachie Police Department.

The charges stem from a hit-and-run incident that occurred last Wednesday at around 4:40 am at the intersection of Industrial Avenue and U.S. Route 46 in Teterboro.

A 75-year-old Paterson resident was struck by an SUV operated by Lee and was transported to Hackensack University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Lee has been charged with third-degree knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury.

Lee was released on his own recognizance and is awaiting his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
