Somers Point, NJ – An 83-year-old woman from Somers Point became the victim of a violent robbery on October 3 when she was attacked in front of a local ACME. After receiving medical treatment for facial and upper body injuries, she was released from Southern Medical Center.

Somers Point Police Department has since identified and arrested four individuals implicated in the crime. The investigation, which included the execution of multiple search warrants in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor Township, was conducted with the assistance of other local agencies.

The first arrest was a 15-year-old male juvenile from Egg Harbor Township who is facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and theft. He was lodged at the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center. The second arrest involved Maria DeSantis, 60, from Woodbine. She faces charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault, and theft, among others, and is lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Charles Oglesby, Jr., 23, from Atlantic City, was also arrested. His charges include conspiracy to commit robbery, assault, theft, and possession of a defaced firearm.
