NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — A 17-year-old was assaulted and robbed on Saturday night, leading to the arrest of one adult and three juveniles, according to New Rochelle Police. The incident occurred around 10:38 p.m. on August 24, near 299 Huguenot Street, where the victim reported that his cell phone and “fanny” pack were stolen during the attack.

Responding officers interviewed the victim, who provided names and descriptions of the suspects, some of whom he knew personally. A short time later, police located the suspects in the area, and the victim positively identified those responsible for the robbery and assault.

As a result, New Rochelle Police arrested 18-year-old Veilman Jimenez-Ramirez of New Rochelle, along with three juvenile males. Jimenez-Ramirez is being held pending arraignment in New Rochelle City Court, while the juveniles are awaiting arraignment by the Youth Part of the Westchester County District Attorney’s office.

The charges against the suspects include:

  • Robbery 2nd Degree (NYS Penal Law Section 160.10 [1]) – C Felony
  • Assault 3rd Degree (NYS Penal Law Section 120.00) – A Misdemeanor

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather details surrounding the incident.
