TEANECK, NJ – Four Bronx residents have been charged in connection with an armed carjacking and robbery that left two Teaneck residents held at gunpoint outside their home earlier this year, authorities announced Wednesday.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said 34-year-old Emmanuel Almonte, 23-year-old Jender A. Santos Ulloa, 23-year-old Marolyn E. Mosquea Fernandez, and 21-year-old Armando Cuevas Cepeda face multiple felony charges following a months-long investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Teaneck Police Department.

The charges stem from a pre-dawn carjacking on August 3, when police were called to Palisade Avenue around 5 a.m.
According to investigators, two victims had just returned home from New York City when a white Acura TLX blocked their driveway. Two masked suspects armed with handguns ordered the victims to lie face down before stealing cash, jewelry, and one of the victim’s vehicles. Both the Acura and the stolen SUV fled the scene.
Suspects linked to wider regional crime pattern
Detectives later determined the Acura was using stolen New Jersey license plates and had been connected to other incidents across the region.
Through coordinated efforts with multiple agencies, investigators identified Almonte, Santos Ulloa, Mosquea Fernandez, and Cuevas Cepeda as the suspects.

All four have been charged with first-degree armed carjacking, two counts of first-degree armed robbery, and multiple weapons offenses.
Multi-agency effort leads to arrests across two states
Santos Ulloa was arrested in Paterson on October 24 and remains held at the Bergen County Jail. Cuevas Cepeda was taken into custody in Fort Lee on October 30 and is also being held.
Almonte, who was already incarcerated in New York City on unrelated charges, was served with New Jersey warrants on November 13 and awaits extradition. Mosquea Fernandez was arrested November 21 in the Bronx by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and is also being held at Rikers Island pending extradition.
Prosecutor Musella emphasized that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. He credited the Teaneck Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Lee Police Department, NYPD, Paterson Police Department, and the FBI for their collaboration.
