Four injured, one trapped in multi-vehicle crash in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Four people were injured Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Southeast D.C., including one person who was trapped inside their car, according to the DC Fire and EMS Department.

The crash occurred in the 2500 block of Southern Ave, where several vehicles were involved. DC Fire and EMS, along with Prince George’s County Fire and EMS, responded to the scene.

Rescue crews freed the trapped individual, who was then taken to the hospital. In total, four people were transported for treatment, with two reported to have critical injuries and the other two sustaining serious injuries.

The incident remains under investigation
