BALTIMORE, MD – Police have arrested four men in connection with the shooting death of 36-year-old Deon Beasley, who was gunned down earlier this year in South Baltimore.
Detectives announced the arrests Wednesday, saying the suspects were taken into custody following a months-long investigation into the January 12 homicide.
Beasley was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 800 block of Washington Boulevard shortly after 4 p.m. that day and later died at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Investigators linked multiple suspects to the killing through witness interviews and evidence gathered at the scene.

Four suspects charged in murder case
Police identified the suspects as 37-year-old Terrill Barfield, 40-year-old James Hammond, 26-year-old Lakeem Whitaker, and 32-year-old Jarvis Joyner.
Barfield, Hammond, and Whitaker each face charges of first- and second-degree murder, while Joyner is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and several handgun offenses.
All four are being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility pending court appearances.
Investigation stemmed from January pursuit

Following the shooting, responding officers and Foxtrot pursued a vehicle seen fleeing the area. The vehicle later collided with a police cruiser and struck a guardrail before being stopped.
Detectives took over the investigation and began questioning those involved, leading to the arrests announced this week.
Homicide unit credits collaboration for arrests
Baltimore Police officials said the case highlights coordinated work between patrol officers, homicide detectives, and specialized units in identifying the suspects.
