Four Sentenced in $9 Million Medicaid Fraud Scheme in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, PA – Attorney General Michelle Henry announced that Jason Alexandre, Rex Barr, Earlson Satine, and Natasha Hudson have pleaded guilty and been sentenced for their roles in a Medicaid fraud scheme totaling nearly $9 million. The defendants were charged with Medicaid fraud, theft by deception, and related offenses in 2021.

Alexandre, the owner of Brighter Care, was sentenced to one to three years in prison, seven years of probation, and ordered to pay $1.63 million in restitution.

Barr, the owner of Rides Your Way, received a sentence of five years of probation and 100 hours of community service, having previously repaid $2 million and agreeing to an additional $1 million repayment.
